JDE Manufacturing Functional Consultant
Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced JDE Manufacturing Functional Consultant to support and optimize JD Edwards (JDE) EnterpriseOne manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth functional expertise in JDE's manufacturing modules and will work with clients to deliver tailored solutions, enhance productivity, and improve overall business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and understand manufacturing requirements, including production planning, shop floor control, and product costing
- Configure and implement JDE Manufacturing modules such as Shop Floor Control, Work Order Management, Product Data Management (PDM), Material Requirements Planning (MRP), and Capacity Planning
- Conduct gap analysis and propose best-practice solutions to meet client business needs
- Design, document, and implement business processes and workflows in line with JDE functionality
- Lead the end-to-end project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, training, and post-go-live support
- Provide functional support for JDE upgrades, enhancements, and new implementations
- Develop test cases, facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT), and support end-user training sessions
- Ensure seamless integration with other JDE modules such as Procurement, Inventory, Sales, and Finance
- Troubleshoot issues and provide ongoing support for the manufacturing processes post-implementation
- Stay current with JD Edwards product updates, industry trends, and best practices in manufacturing
Requirements
Required
- Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience working with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne in a functional consulting role with a focus on manufacturing modules
- Hands-on experience with core JDE manufacturing modules: Shop Floor Control, Work Orders, MRP, Product Costing, and Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including discrete manufacturing, process manufacturing, and lean manufacturing principles
- Proven ability to lead JDE implementation and upgrade projects in a manufacturing environment
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Strong documentation and presentation skills
Preferred
- JDE certification in manufacturing modules
- Experience in automotive, aerospace, electronics, or process manufacturing industries
- Familiarity with JDE integrations using Orchestrator, BI Publisher, or third-party manufacturing execution systems (MES)
- Experience with reporting and data analysis tools such as Oracle BI, Tableau, or Power BI
- Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2) or experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
