Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Planning Functional Consultant with expertise in one or more advanced planning solutions, such as John Galt Solutions, JD Edwards Advanced Planning, o9 Solutions, or Blue Yonder's (formerly JDA) Planning Suite. The ideal candidate will work closely with clients to design, configure, and implement cutting-edge supply chain planning solutions that optimize demand forecasting, supply planning, inventory management, and S&OP processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for demand planning, supply planning, and S&OP processes
- Lead the implementation, configuration, and optimization of planning solutions
- Design and document business processes, system configurations, and solution architecture for planning functions
- Configure and customize planning systems to support demand forecasting, capacity planning, inventory optimization, and replenishment planning
- Perform gap analysis and propose best-practice solutions to meet client needs
- Lead functional testing, including system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Provide end-user training and support to ensure successful adoption of planning solutions
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with ERP systems
- Monitor system performance and recommend enhancements
- Stay current with new features and updates in planning software solutions
Requirements
Required
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience implementing and supporting advanced planning solutions
- Strong knowledge of demand forecasting, supply chain planning, capacity planning, and S&OP processes
- Hands-on experience with configuring planning systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work with both technical and business teams
- Proven ability to lead functional workshops and drive process improvements
- Experience working with large datasets and planning data integration
Preferred
- Certifications in specific planning platforms such as John Galt, o9, or Blue Yonder
- Experience in supply chain planning for retail, CPG, manufacturing, or automotive industries
- Familiarity with advanced analytics, machine learning models for demand sensing, and real-time planning solutions
- Knowledge of ERP integration with planning solutions
- Experience with reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik
